At the 2026 Florida Children and Families Summit, we celebrated the people who bring our shared purpose to life every day.

The Moments of Impact Awards recognize extraordinary individuals whose dedication, compassion, and courage make a lasting difference for Floridians.

Congratulations to this year’s honorees — Jessica, Jennifer, Maria, and Valerie — and thank you for showing how the moments we maximize today become part of the legacy we leave for Florida children and families.

Florida FAPA Board members are honored to be attending the Florida Children and Families Summit this week. We’ve participated in great sessions, collaborated on Legislative needs and had a chance to meet with Caregivers from across our great State at our Membership meeting.

We can’t forget that Florida FAPA VP Selena Garrison and former Florida FAPA Board Member Martie had a packed room for their breakout session yesterday!

We are all looking forward to great Circuit breakouts before we head home tomorrow!

2026 Families Rising Adoption & Foster Care Conference
Held Virtually October 21-22, 2026

This year, the Families Rising Conference is virtual to ensure accessibility to all US and Canadian adoptive and foster parents. Families Rising’s mission is to amplify those with lived experience, assist adoptive, foster, and kinship parents, educate child welfare professionals, and champion the well-being of children and families.

This raffle is open to adoptive parents who have not attended the Families Rising (Formerly NACAC- North American Council for Adoptable Children) within the past five years and have not attended any adoption-related conference during 2026. For example, if you attended the Florida FAPA Mini Conference in Ocala or the Florida FAPA Annual Education Conference in Orlando, you are NOT eligible to enter this raffle.

Important Notes:
*Scholarship will include Conference Registration. As this is a Virtual Conference, no travel, meals or hotels accomodation are included.
Two winners will be selected, which may be one couple or two individuals.
