Sarasota-Bradenton Young Republicans Orginally founded in the 1960s, the SRQYRs are continuing nearly 60 years of tradition as one of the preeminent conservative groups in the State of Florida.

We are the Suncoast's premier, officially chartered chapter of the Florida Young Republicans, the state's official Youth wing of the GOP, representing Republicans aged 18-40 in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. 2025-2027 Executive Board Members:

With nearly 100 active members from Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties, the Sarasota-Bradenton Young Republicans (SRQYRs) strive to be the region's premier organization for Young Conservatives, aged 18-40, seeking opportunities for leadership development, networking, and advocacy of conservative policies and Republican ideals here on Florida's Suncoast. The SRQYRs were awarded as the Florida Young Republicans' Club of the Year in 2023 and 2024 for our efforts to actively develop the next generation of business and political leaders by driving the discussion on important public policy issues, working to grow the Republican Party, and helping elect GOP candidates across not only in Sarasota-Bradenton, but also the Greater Tampa Bay Region and this great State of Florida we call home. This month’s social will be on the 22nd at Raffurty’s in Sarasota. We will be hosting Dani Lindsay of the American Conservation Coalition to talk about keeping America beautiful. We will also be honoring Charlie Kirk’s 1 year anniversary passing yesterday at that social as well.

It’s the 25th Anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks made on the twin towers. There were 2,977 lives lost on that day. There are 140,000 first responders and survivors who are suffering from health conditions related to the attack who are still being treated to this day. More than 9,000 people have died from 9/11 linked illnesses surpassing the lives lost on the day of the attacks. Those lost were husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, daughters, sons, siblings, and friends. We as Americans need to take today to remember and reflect on that tragedy that changed us as a country forever.

For last month's social for May, we celebrated small business month by hosting local businesses owners of Howdy Hunny(Lauren) and Sarasota Smart Homes(Michael Scott). They spoke about how they started their businesses and how important it is to keep their conservative values in our current times. We also hosted Congressional candidate, Sydney Gruters for District 16. She spoke about the current issues that Floridians are facing and what she plans to do to keep the conservative message moving forward.

This past Thursday at the Sarasota County REC meeting, Jay Collins came to speak about what he plans to accomplish if he becomes Florida’s next governor as well as answer any questions our committee had. He was so friendly and stayed to chat and take photos with people. Such a humble man for what he’s accomplished. We appreciate all he’s done for our state as well as our country as a green beret. A few of our own SRQYRs and Polk YRs came out for the meeting.
