Friends of the Fruitville Library The Friends of the Fruitville Public Library is a non-profit organization operated exclusively as a publicly supported organization.

The Friends are operated exclusively as a publicly supported organization, financially supported by membership dues and other fundraising activities. Fundraising campaigns provide additional materials and equipment that is not provided in the library budget. The Friends Bookstore is a wonderful little gem run by the Friends of the Fruitville Public Library, staffed completely by volunteers. Gently

used media of all kinds, even jigsaw puzzles, are available for purchase at surprisingly low prices. Become a member of the Friends as well as receive information on upcoming programs and events when you visit the bookstore. The sole purpose of the organization is to provide support and enhance the quality of library services to the public. Each library in the Sarasota County Library System has a separate Friends group and they all function similarly.
