SCDL is continuing our Playdate in the Park program in September! 🌳🤸‍♀️💚

Join the library and your friends for a playdate at the park! The library will provide different outdoor toys for friends to play with. Spend time with friends and enjoy the morning at the playground.

There are three new bestsellers, two new movies, 29 new children's books, and 21 other new books.

The new bestsellers this week are "Big Little Truths," "Dog Man: Mothering Heights," and "Blightfall." The new movies this week are "Obsession" and "The Lego Ninjago Movie."

The Saranac and Clarksville libraries are having our final Gather 2 Grow event today in Saranac from Noon-1pm! Flip through to see the meal options that we may be offering. 🥪🍏

SCDL will be partnering with Gather 2 Grow to provide FREE meals to children (ages 18 and younger) and developmentally delayed adults up to age 26! 🛍🍐

All meal options are nut-free, and various meal options, including vegetarian and gluten-free, will be available. Visit www.FeedWM.org/Gather for more information about their meal schedule.

Join us tonight at the Saranac library for popular tabletop games from the late 90's and early 2000's! 🃏🌀🏟

From 5:00-6:00pm we will have places available in our community room for you to battle Pokemon, engage in a Beyblade tournament, and duel your friends in a game of Yu-Gi-Oh! If competition isn't your thing, we will also have crafts available, including designing a deck holder and your own Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Please note: The library will only have playmats and arenas available for battling. Cards and Beyblades will not be provided. Patrons will need to bring their own play materials to participate in the battles. This event is also for youth and tweens ONLY.

Creativity needed! SCDL is partnering with Eeyowen’s Doodles Knits & More to bring you a community sketchbook! 📜✏️🎨

The community sketchbook will be available for in-library use, and everyone who participates will get one full page to decorate with a medium of their choice. Patrons will have an open theme, but will be asked to use a certain color as their primary use for their page.

Supplies will be provided for patrons to use, but outside supplies are allowed. Please make sure you are only using work that you created, we want to see what YOU can do. Visit https://www.saraclark.michlibrary.org/news-events-1 #/events/ for more information on SCDL events.
