There’s still time to get in the game! Registration is now open through September 20.

Participants only need to attend ONE evaluation night.

🇺🇸 Mayor Joe McDonald read a proclamation recognizing September 11 as Patriot Day and a National Day of Service and Remembrance in the City of Saraland.

As we remember the lives lost and the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001, we also proudly honored our City of Saraland employees who have served this great nation through military service.

We are deeply grateful for their courage, sacrifice, and continued commitment to serving others. May we never forget the events of September 11, and may we always honor those who protect the freedoms we hold dear.

Volunteers will gather at City Hall before dispersing to cleanup locations throughout the city. Bring your family, friends, coworkers, church group, or organization and help us show Saraland some love!

⏰ Beginning at 8:00 AM

Saraland residents only may bring yard debris and unwanted household items to Public Works for disposal.

If you, a family member, or a friend have been impacted by childhood cancer, we invite you to join us for a special proclamation as we honor the brave children and families whose lives have been touched by childhood cancer.

Mayor McDonald recently joined the Gulf Coast Adaptive Pickleball Club for a practice at The Land! The club brings people of all abilities together through pickleball while creating opportunities to build connections within our community. Whether you’re new to the sport or have been playing for years, we encourage you to get involved. We hope to see you on the court!

The Saraland Eats BBQ Showdown is coming up, and there’s still time to get in on the action!

Join us Sunday, September 6 from 10 AM–2 PM for BBQ, competition, local vendors, and community fun.

BBQ teams will compete in:

🔥 Ribs — 1st Place, 2nd Place & 3rd Place
🔥 Pulled Pork — People’s Choice Award

Team entry is $100, with team check-in beginning at 7 PM on Saturday, September 5.

Local businesses and community vendors can also register to set up and be part of the event!
