DAV Creek County Chapter #9 Sapulpa, OK The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is a non-profit charity organization that provides support for veterans and their families.

Every year, DAV provides more than 600,000 rides to veterans and assists in filing over 200,000 benefits claims. In 2019, DAV helped veterans receive more than $21 billion in earned benefits. DAV helps more than one million veterans every year connect with the healthcare, disability, employment, education, and financial benefits they’ve earned. If you’re a veteran or are transitioning out of the military, DAV is here to help you and your family through a lifetime of services and support.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of two cherished members over the past few weeks.

Our former Commander, Wayne McClelland, and our devoted member, Robert Bruce, have both gone to be with the Lord. They will be deeply missed and forever remembered for their service and friendship.

Today a few of our officers and their loved ones were able to get our chapter building Christmas ready!

Members: Don’t forget that we have our annual Christmas party this Tuesday 12/9 at 6 pm. We will NOT be conducting a regular meeting but there will be a Christmas dinner, fellowship, and fun! We will be doing a white elephant(dirty Santa) gift exchange similar to years past and participation is not required but it is encouraged! We hope to see everyone there and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

It was another successful year of helping local veterans and their families by providing our Thanksgiving food boxes. This wouldn’t be possible without the help of our volunteers and the community! We were able to feed 44 people for Thanksgiving this year! We will be doing it all over again at Christmas so we will begin taking food and cash donation every Friday until then!
