Early voting for the Sapelo zoning referendum continues today, Saturday, January 3, from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM at the McIntosh County Board of Elections (103 Jefferson Street, Darien).

This referendum impacts the future of our community, Hogg Hummock, one of the last island-based Gullah Geechee communities in Georgia. We encourage McIntosh County voters to stay informed and participate.

Early voting for the zoning referendum is now underway. This referendum concerns the future of our historic Hogg Hummock community, one of the last island-based Gullah Geechee communities in Georgia.

As voters across McIntosh County consider this issue, we encourage those who have long stood with us to remain committed, and those who may be less familiar to take time to learn more about what is being proposed, why it matters, and what it means for all of us.
