C.S. Lewis Academy We build a strong culture of learning and unity, supporting high expectations and success for all K–7 students and staff. C.S. Our focus is on literacy.

Lewis Academy is a K-6 Utah State Public Charter School. We believe in the benefits of a second language, and teach Spanish to all students. We also offer electives that include orchestra, art, choir, keyboarding, ASL, civics, yearbook, drama, and more! Our leveled math and reading classes allow students to learn at their own performance level rather than being limited by their grade level.

This is Mrs. Penrod’s 3rd year teaching and 2nd year at C.S. Lewis Academy, and her passion for education shines through everything she does. She loves building strong relationships with her students and helping them feel safe, supported, and confident—even when learning gets tough.

One of her favorite parts of teaching is watching students grow throughout the year and seeing those special “lightbulb moments” when everything clicks. Her classroom is filled with learning, laughter, and encouragement every single day, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our family! ❤️

Este es el tercer año de la maestra Penrod enseñando y su segundo año en C.S. Lewis Academy. Su pasión por la educación se refleja en todo lo que hace. Le encanta crear relaciones positivas con sus estudiantes y ayudarlos a sentirse seguros, apoyados y con confianza, incluso cuando aprender se pone difícil.

We’re excited to welcome the PaperPie Learning Book Fair to our school! This is a fantastic opportunity for students and families to discover engaging books, educational games, and fun learning resources for all ages.

• 2:30–3:30 PM
• PLUS: 5:30–7:30 PM on April 22nd & 23rd during APPT Conferences

We have a bittersweet update. Last week, Mrs. Webb placed 6th in her group and was eliminated from America’s Favorite Teacher Competition.

Today our school had the opportunity to participate in the Great Utah ShakeOut—and what a great experience it was!

Students and staff practiced what to do in the event of an earthquake by learning and performing the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” safety procedure.

Not only was it an important learning moment, but it was also a fun and engaging way for students to build confidence and preparedness.

We love opportunities like this to help our students stay safe, informed, and ready for anything. We encourage families to continue the conversation at home—ask your student what they learned and take a few minutes to review your own family emergency plan together.

Prepared today. Safer tomorrow. 💙
