WCYV is proud to endorse Jackie Elward() for Sonoma County Democratic Central Committee! A fighter, unabashed progressive, city councilwoman, candidate for California State Senate District 3, and most importantly, a mother, Jackie Elward, is the leader we need! Emboldened by the BLM movement of 2020, against all odds, Jackie beat the 27-year Incumbent on the Rohnert Party City Council as the underdog candidate. And she did without compromising her stances or values. Jackie is proof that policy and politics, given the right person, with the right willpower, CAN make a difference in our communities. We are counting on everyone to mark their ballot to re-elect Jackie to the Central Committee and as our next State Senator!

WCYV is proud to endorse Robin Thompson for Sonoma County Democratic Central Committee, District 3. Having joined the Sonoma County Democratic Party in 2022, Robin has already made monumental progress in advancing the goal to strengthen participation and vigilance of local poltics.

As Co-Chairman of the Sonoma County Democratic Party's Task Force on Community Development, Robin has made it a priority to educate members of the public on the importance of local government races.

His work and attention to detail have recently awarded him Democratic of the Year for 2024! Robin is an example of leadership stepping up and putting in the effort to create change through education.

WCYV is proud to endorse Gil D**g for Sonoma County Democratic Central Committee, District 1. Gil D**g has not only led a life as a devoted Democrat but a former Fire Chief. For over 35 years, Gil D**g has been a public servant and knows what it means to be an active member in our communities.

As a 3 time elected Delegate to the Democratic National Convention, 2 time appointed to the California State Central Committee, and California Asian Pacific Islander Caucus member, Gil has the knowledge and experience to represent Sonoma County Democrats.

Currently, as an Alternate on the Sonoma County Central Committee, Gil's presence is one that remains crucial to the representation of not only young voters but Asian Pacific Islanders residing in Sonoma County.

Having been endorsed by Elizabeth Escalante (), the only currently sitting Asian Pacific Islander Democratic Central Committee member, Gil would be joining a group that is severely underrepresented in Sonoma County. We believe that uplifting his campaign will uplift the voices of the community he wishes to represent.

There are few candidates who take the time to engage with Young Voters, and make the effort to understand our perspective. Leslie Graves does! She has played pivotal roles in helping LGBTQ+ organizations, currently chairs the Endorsements Committee on the Central Committee, and isn't afraid to call out injustices.

Having been emboldened by Governor Pete Wilson's veto of California's Bill to end discrimination based on s*xual orientation, Kristine felt the call to pursue law and make change. We encourage everyone to vote for her on Marcg 5th!

Just 14 days until the primary election! WCYV has been working tirelessly to make sure we can elected the candidates that represent US.

The unfortunate truth is that our candidates continue to be smeared by rich and powerful groups because they are AFRAID. They are afraid of the positive change that they will bring to workings class Californians. From big oil to wealthy realtors and greedy outside interests, they are trying to undermine the good work our candidates stand for. We can not let them win.

Now more than ever, we need your help! Please reach out to any of our locally endorsed campgains and lend some of your time to canvas, phone bank, or text bank.

We are all in this together!
