The City of Santa Rosa is now accepting applications for new short-term rental properties. In October 2021, the City of Santa Rosa passed an urgency ordinance requiring all short-term rental properties within city limits to have a Short-Term Rental Permit in order to legally operate. Following an initial grace period to allow legacy short-term rental operators the opportunity to apply, the city is now taking applications from all residents who are interested.

If you are planning to rent out part or all of your home to tourists or anyone for 30 consecutive days or fewer, then go to our short-term rental page and learn how to apply and permit your property, as well as the rules required to operate. Learn more: srcity.org/STR
