Dear Student,

We at the Santa Rosa Junior College Students for Socialism and Liberation sincerely hope that you will be able to attend this week's meeting from 4:30-5:30 PM this Thursday, November 5th, via Zoom.

During today's meeting, we will watch a short video titled "Voter Suppression Explained," which gives a brief description of the ways in which our country's electoral process purposely disenfranchises minority voters, followed with two articles ("The Electoral College: Protecting the Rich From Democracy Since 1787" and "7 Other Nations Prove How Absurd US Elections Really Are") which give greater context to the corruption of our country's elections.

Additionally, we will also be watching an excerpt from "When Peasants Took Over," which describes the importance of removing capitalism from the government in order to ensure the well-being of the people.

We hope to see you there!

In Solidarity,
George Gutierrez
Co-President of SRJC Students for Socialism and Liberation

“Neither candidate is willing to even consider the type of dramatic action that needs to be taken to tackle the Coronavirus pandemic and associated economic crisis. The PSL’s La Riva/Freeman campaign demands the immediate cancellation of rent and mortgage payments with no accumulation of debt, full replacement of all unemployed workers’ incomes, free healthcare for all and international cooperation to develop a vaccine.”

Tonight’s debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden was testament to how little choice voters truly have in this so-called democracy. Gloria La Riva and Sunil Freeman are running in the presidential election to give voters a real alternative -- one that stands for the rights of the working class a...

Dear Student,

We at the Santa Rosa Junior College Students for Socialism and Liberation sincerely hope that you will be able to attend this week's meeting from 4:30-5:30 PM this Thursday, September 10th via Zoom (message us for the meeting link).

We will be watching Contrapoints' video "What's Wrong With Capitalism Pt. 2," an excellent fusion between a piece of campy entertainment and an informative approach to explaining capitalism's shortcomings.

Additionally, we will also be reading Aaron Arabian's article titled "Raging Wildfires Worsen Crisis in California," which examines how California relies on the exploitative prison-industrial complex in order to manage the threat of fires. Please note, this article might contain sensitive topics for those directly impacted by wildfires.

We hope to see you there!
