Penngrove Beef Project members, along with members from Canfield and Two Rock 4-H Clubs, took to the ring to prepare for the upcoming Petaluma Fair. Members practiced their showmanship skills, worked closely with their animals, asked questions, and gained valuable hands-on experience and confidence in the ring.

Thank you to everyone who attended and James Piazza for leading this great learning opportunity, along with the Berncich family letting the group use their property. Bringing our clubs together allows members to learn from one another, build connections, and continue growing their livestock knowledge and skills. 🍀

Good luck to all

What a fantastic week of Day Camp held at Camp Russian River—surrounded by beautiful redwood trees and plenty of room to play, learn, and grow!

Members from Canfield, Gold Ridge, Green Valley, Independence, Liberty, Penngrove, and Warm Springs 4-H Clubs came together for a week filled with friendship, learning, and outdoor fun. Campers enjoyed a variety of activities including henna art, memory journals, arts and crafts, beading, STEM projects such as building flashlights, making slime and lava lamps, silicone crafts, tie-dye shirts, and the exciting Mentos experiment.

The week also included a walk through Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, a visit from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office-River Substation, pizza from Smart Pizza, parachute game, a water carnival, running through sprinklers, and a slip-and-slide to help everyone stay cool and have fun.

A fun week was had by all, filled with laughter, and lasting memories!
