PREPARATE;Juntos Hacemos La Diferencia Spanish language emergency readiness public education program. LISTOS is a Spanish language emergency readiness public education program.

Started in Carpinteria, CA in 2009, it has now been connecting with groups of hispanics throughout the Central Coast of CA to educate Latinos in a culturally and linguistically appropriate way on how to be ready for the next major disaster.

Your Santa Maria Fire Department would like to remind you about space heater safety. Keep space heaters away from combustible items such as curtains or furniture. Always make sure to plug the space heater directly into the wall outlet instead of using an extension cord or power strip. Never leave the space heater unattended and make sure that your space heater has an automatic shut off in case it gets tipped over. Have a safe holiday season!
