All are returning from a loving foster home and are used to being in a nurturing environment. They are all litter box trained with pine pellets and will do best in a home with people who LOVE to cuddle and spoil them. They would do best to live a life as inside-only pets as they are clueless on how to protect themselves in the outside world.
**They did not have a mama cat to teach them how to be safe**
The kittens available this week LOVE to play and are excited about meeting you and becoming a part of your family.

Meet Poppy — the little orange queen who has officially retired from her full time job as Supermom and is now ready to be adored in her very own forever home.
This gorgeous orange tabby spent the last few weeks raising six kittens (yes, six!) and she did it like the absolute champ she is. For the first two weeks, she cared for them all on her own in an attic, think single mom energy mixed with fierce survival instincts and a whole lot of heart. Now that her babies are growing up and living their best kitten lives, it’s Poppy’s turn to shine. Poppy is:
• Sweet as honey
• Affectionate to her core
• Obsessed with head scratches
• A certified attention enjoyer
• 100% a “you may adore me now” kind of girl
She’s loved being a mama, but she’s ready to trade in late night feedings for cozy naps, yummy treats, and a family who will spoil her endlessly. Poppy would do best in an indoor only home where she can finally relax, soak up the love, and enjoy being someone’s special girl. Poppy is 100% litter box trained!!

The 2026 Kitten Season has officially started.

Today a gorgeous and young Calico came into our Lompoc Shelter with her beautiful neonate 2 day old babies. Our Lompoc team contacted our Foster Coordinator who arranged for this little family to have a safe, warm, and loving foster home to go to. They will be provided excellent care not only by this foster family but also by our vet team who will make sure that mom and her babies receive the necessary veterinary care as well as vaccines, de-wormer, flea treatment, and eventually each spayed and neutered before they are adopted.

Join Santa Barbara County Animal Services this Sunday from 10am-2pm at our adoption event at SM Farm Supply adoption fees are waived. Also the Animal Care Foundation will there doing professional pictures with Santa to help raise money that will go directly to improving the lives of our County’s shelter animals, so that they have a 2nd chance at forever with a new family or person to call their own.
