The Soul Recovery Cafe offers several ways to stay connected to recovery throughout the week including through Recovery Circles. Did you know Recovery Circles provide consistent accountability with the same group of people and welcome all pathways to recovery? Peers can also join a weekly Zoom group created specifically for people who spend their time supporting others, and on Tuesday evenings, an anger management group focuses on healthier ways to work through stress.
For those who connect through movement, Addict 2 Athlete groups bring exercise and recovery together several days each week, with all fitness levels welcome. Check the current schedules at https://pulse.ly/vqiifqc0lz and share these options with anyone looking for their peer community.

We had an incredible time at the 2026 National Latino Behavioral Health Conference with National Latino Behavioral Health Association ! Thank you to everyone at NLBHA for having us, and special thanks to Nick Boukas for delivering the welcoming remarks, and Annabelle Martinez for leading BHSD's workshop session. We would also like to congratulate the 2026 recipients of the Josie Torralba Romero (JTR) Scholarship. It was a fantastic, informative conference. We're grateful for the chance to connect with so many fellow providers and community members.

The New Mexico SBIRT Training Series has released it's September training dates. SBIRT helps behavioral health teams identify substance use and related concerns earlier, opening the door to supportive conversations before someone’s needs become more serious. CPSWs can be an important part of that process by helping people feel more comfortable talking about what is happening and staying connected to the care that follows. Several free virtual sessions remain in September, including Motivational Interviewing and Screening & Brief Intervention training.
