Creating pathways toward opportunity and support!

L.A. CADA’s LGBTQIA+ Alhambra Cottages and START House programs participated in a job and resource fair at the Connie Norman Center in West Hollywood, hosted by St. John's Community Health. Clients had the opportunity to connect with employment resources, explore job opportunities, and access community support services.

With support from the West Hollywood outreach team and peer support staff, participants were able to attend, engage with local resources, and take steps toward their personal and professional goals.

At L.A. CADA, we remain committed to supporting our LGBTQIA+ community by providing resources that promote wellness, recovery, stability, and empowerment. 💙🏳️‍🌈

L.A. CADA was proud to participate in the Long Beach Pride Parade alongside community members, organizations, allies, and advocates coming together in celebration of love, identity, and inclusion. Pride is more than a celebration — it is a reminder that every person deserves to feel seen, valued, safe, and supported exactly as they are.

Seeing the community show up with strength, joy, and unity was a powerful reflection of the importance of creating spaces where LGBTQIA2S+ individuals can feel welcomed and connected. We hope everyone who attended felt the love, encouragement, and sense of belonging that Pride represents.

At L.A. CADA, we remain committed to supporting LGBTQIA2S+ youth, families, and community members through affirming services, advocacy, outreach, and safe spaces where individuals can be their authentic selves. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and continues helping build a more inclusive and compassionate community for all.
Happy Pride from all of us at L.A. CADA. 🏳️‍🌈

As we lead up to Long Beach Pride, L.A. CADA is proud to support the House of Long Beach and celebrate the artistry, resilience, and community rooted within Ballroom culture. 🌈✨

For generations, Ballroom has served as a powerful space for self-expression, identity, and chosen family, uplifting voices and creating environments where authenticity and confidence can thrive.

Participants walked away with more than just an experience; they gained community connection, creative expression, confidence, and positive outlets that support healthy lifestyles and personal growth. We’re honored to support spaces that foster healing, belonging, and empowerment within the LGBTQIA2S+ community and beyond.

Celebrating powerful milestones and even stronger women

Yesterday, L.A. CADA staff and leadership attended the Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs Soroptimist Awards Luncheon alongside our Board and community partners. A standout moment was recognizing several of our FCRP participants who received educational awards to support their continued journey including college!

Our Female Community Reentry Program (FCRP) provides residential treatment, vocational support, and reentry services for women transitioning from incarceration back into the community. Seeing these individuals take the next step in their education is a reflection of their resilience, commitment, and the support systems built around them.

We’re proud to stand alongside our participants as they continue building stability, pursuing their goals, and creating new opportunities for their future.

Stay tuned as we share their stories and testimonials highlighting the impact of this work.

Empowerment in Action

Our Alice’s House and Grace’s Place clients had the opportunity to attend the Ms. Single Mom Empowerment Forum, showing up with confidence and pride in dresses generously donated by the Miss Santa Fe Springs Cohort.

This event was more than just a day out, it was a space for connection, growth, and empowerment. Our programs continue to support women in recovery through PPW services, helping them rebuild stability, strengthen family connections, and work toward reunification with their children when applicable.

We’re proud to see our clients engaging in their community, building confidence, and embracing new opportunities in their recovery journey. ✨
