Greg's dedication goes far beyond the classroom at Lakeside Middle School. Through meaningful relationships, high expectations, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed, he inspires young people to believe in themselves and reach their full potential. His impact extends well beyond his classroom and continues long after students leave Lakeside.

As we close the 2025–2026 school year, we want to thank our Little Lake families, students, staff, and community for your patience, partnership, and care.

This year brought challenges, but it also showed the strength of our community. Our students kept learning, growing, and moving forward — and we could not be prouder of them.

To our 8th graders, congratulations as you take your next step into high school. You will always be part of the Little Lake family.

Wishing all of our families a restful, joyful summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for a new year full of possibilities. ♥️

🎨✨ ¡La creatividad brilló con todo su esplendor en la Exposición de Arte del Distrito Escolar de Little Lake City!
Más de 125 familias se unieron a nosotros en la Biblioteca de Norwalk para celebrar el increíble talento de nuestros jóvenes artistas. Desde coloridas pinturas hasta creaciones llenas de imaginación, las obras de arte de todo el distrito pusieron de manifiesto la creatividad, el esfuerzo y las perspectivas únicas de nuestros alumnos.
Un agradecimiento especial a nuestros dedicados profesores de arte —la Sra. Rose, la Sra. Norris, el Sr. Gazmen y la Sra. García— por inspirar a nuestros alumnos y ayudarles a desarrollar su talento artístico a lo largo del curso escolar.

More than 125 families joined us at the Norwalk Library to celebrate the incredible talent of our student artists. From colorful paintings to imaginative creations, artwork from across the district showcased the creativity, hard work, and unique perspectives of our students.
A special thank you to our dedicated art teachers—Ms. Rose, Ms. Norris, Mr. Gazmen, and Ms. Garcia—for inspiring our students and helping them develop their artistic talents throughout the school year.

🎮 Level Unlocked: Little Lake’s First-Ever eSports Team!
Four amazing students from Lakeside Middle School made history by representing Little Lake City School District in our very first eSports competition hosted by the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE).
Jacob, Ivan, Alexander, and Geraldine showcased teamwork, communication, perseverance, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the competition. While the outcome wasn’t what they hoped for, they represented their school and district with confidence, resilience, and class—making us incredibly proud.
This team isn’t just competing in games—they’re helping build something new for future Little Lake students. Their participation marks the beginning of an exciting eSports journey that will continue to grow for years to come.
A special thank you to Lakeside teachers Mr. Bunten and Mr. Gunderson for supporting, mentoring, and encouraging our students every step of the way.

Cuatro estudiantes de Lakeside Middle School hicieron historia al representar al Distrito Escolar Little Lake City en nuestra primera competencia de eSports, organizada por la Oficina de Educación del Condado de Los Ángeles (LACOE).
Jacob, Ivan, Alexander y Geraldine demostraron gran trabajo en equipo, comunicación, perseverancia y excelente espíritu deportivo durante toda la competencia. Aunque el resultado no fue el que esperaban, representaron a su escuela y a nuestro distrito con confianza, respeto y una actitud ejemplar que nos llenó de orgullo.

“Our road to healing begins today. I will continue to show up each day with an open heart—grounded in empathy and respect for our teachers, our classified staff, our administrators, and every student and family we serve.

These past ten days have tested us, but they do not define us. Today, we turn the page—together. I warmly welcome our students and staff back to our schools and classrooms, and I encourage each of us to take the time to reconnect, to restore trust, and to rebuild the sense of community that makes Little Lake so special.

Our students are watching how we move forward—how we treat one another, how we lead, and how we care. Let us show them what unity, compassion, and resilience truly look like. This is a new chapter for our District—one rooted in respect, stability, and a shared commitment to one another.

Together, we will restore normalcy. Together, we will move forward. And together, we will build a stronger Little Lake.”

Nuestro camino hacia la recuperación comienza hoy. Seguiré presentándome cada día con el corazón abierto, con empatía y respeto por nuestros maestros, nuestro personal clasificado, nuestros administradores, y cada estudiante y familia a quienes servimos.

The Little Lake City School District and the Little Lake Educators Association have reached a tentative agreement that will bring this strike to a close and allow teachers to return to their classrooms.

Throughout this process, both sides remained committed to reaching a resolution—grounded in a shared understanding that students belong in classrooms, supported by the teachers and school communities they rely on every day.

We recognize the impact this has had on students, families, teachers, staff, and the broader community, and we are grateful for the patience and resilience shown during this time.

This agreement reflects meaningful progress and a renewed focus on what matters most: restoring stability for students, supporting our teachers, and getting educators back into classrooms as quickly as possible while maintaining the fiscal responsibility needed to protect the long-term stability of the District.

Additional details will be shared following ratification by both parties.

El Distrito Escolar de Little Lake y la Asociación de Maestros de Little Lake han llegado a un acuerdo tentativo que pondrá fin a la huelga y permitirá que los maestros regresen a sus salones de clase.

Durante todo este proceso, ambas partes se mantuvieron comprometidas a llegar a una solución, con el entendimiento de que los estudiantes deben estar en los salones de clase, apoyados por sus maestros y sus comunidades escolares.
