Thanks to your help, the Ghana Clinic Project with RUDC was one of the most popular ideas coming to a close second at 313 total votes in the recent Operation Groundswell grant contest! Thanks to everyone who took their time to help us out with this contest. It means the world to those involved here in the US, and everyone over in Wli Todzi, Ghana. We're still in the running to receive the grant, so expect more exciting news in the future. Much love!

RUDC is thrilled to announce that, with your help, we have successfully raised all of the necessary funds to buy video gear to shoot the upcoming Wli Todzi documentary! We’re extremely grateful for your support! We are excited to work with the people of Wli Todzi to help them share their story with the world. Next step: get to the top of that mountain and get some footage!

For the last two years, we’ve laid the groundwork for this project, acquiring fiscal sponsorship in the United States, beginning to fundraise, and acquiring NGO status in Ghana. The last step is to generate the awareness that the project needs to fundraise enough to finish the clinic structure and purchase medical supplies. Three of our RUDC members will be on the ground in Ghana during the fall of 2013. During this time in Ghana, we will have the chance to travel to Wli Todzi to get the footage required to bring the story of this beautiful place to life. With this equipment, we will finally have all the tools to build the movement that finishing this project demands.

Just went to the village for the first time in 2 years, and feeling inspired to keep moving on this project! The village council doesn't have access to a computer, but they asked me to relay their thanks to the people who have supported the clinic project. The strength of the Wli Todzi people, and their welcoming generosity continues to amaze me. Not to mention actually getting to touch the new construction with my own hands- proof that our work is really paying off. Again,thank you a thousand times to anyone who has supported the project- we're still on track to complete the construction, equipping and staffing of the clinic by 2016, our original target. Thank you to everyone who came out last night and helped us have such an awesome Tuesday night! With your help, we were able to raise over $600.00 for the Ghana Clinic Project! A thousand thanks to Paa Kow's By All Means Band and RonDre. for creating such hip- swaying sounds, and to Bissap Baobab Village for providing a most welcoming venue! Special thanks also to Keenan Saiz, Richard Babygrandpa Rothbart, Ethan Miska, and Do Good Lab for helping with outreach for the event, and to everyone else who contributed.
