…your SCCS Teacher Librarians presented to the SCCS School Board last night. Our presentation showcased our libraries as the hubs/hearts of our schools: culturally reflective and sustaining safe spaces, information/multi-literacy centers, community partners, and “third places” where students can be themselves.

We are so proud, and so grateful that our community supports our school libraries with their votes!

...there was SO MUCH eclipse fun, science, and wonder today in the BSSC Library, and in the world!

If you have gently used eclipse glasses, please consider sending them to Astronomers Without Borders ! They will give them new life in underserved communities for future eclipses!

 Calabasas, CA, March 26, 2024: Astronomers Without Borders (AWB) is collecting gently-used eclipse-viewing glasses from across the US and Canada to send to underserved communities and schools internationally for use in future solar eclipses.
