Employees of the Sheriff’s Department will not edit public comments to remove objectionable or inappropriate content, so please ensure that comments comply with this policy if you would like it posted. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department recognizes that social media tools are available 24 hours a day, and we welcome comments at any time. However, given the need to manage resources, the moderation and posting of comments will occur during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time, or when possible. Comments submitted after hours or on weekends or holidays will be read and posted as soon as possible if they meet the aforementioned criteria; in most cases, this will mean the next business day.

STOLE IT IN GLENDALE. CAUGHT IN CANYON COUNTRY.

On Wednesday night, a deputy patrolling Canyon Country near Soledad Canyon Road and Camp Plenty Road observed a man riding a Honda Stateline motorcycle. When the rider noticed the deputy, he abruptly turned into a parking lot, prompting further investigation.

A records check revealed the motorcycle had been reported stolen out of Glendale the previous day.

Deputies arrested the 44-year-old male on felony vehicle theft charges and recovered the stolen motorcycle.

Traffic Stop Leads to Fi****ms and Arrest of Probationer

On Thursday night, JAG detectives and SAT deputies conducting a crime suppression operation made a traffic stop in Saugus for a vehicle code violation and contacted the driver, a 39-year-old woman who was found to be on active felony probation.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of he**in. A subsequent probation search at her residence resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, multiple fi****ms, and ammunition.

The suspect was arrested for probation violation, multiple felony weapons charges and misdemeanor narcotics-related offenses. She remains in custody on no bail.

MISSING JUVENILE 🚨

Detectives from Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Maria Elena Pacheco, 15, who was reported missing from the City of Newhall.

Maria was last seen on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at approximately 1:50 p.m. on the 21400 block of Grape Lily Circle in Newhall. She is described as a Hispanic female, 4'11", approximately 170 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. She has a butterfly tattoo on her right arm and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black leggings.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is encouraged to contact Detective Ibanez at (661) 260-4000 ext. 5652.

Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Results 🏍️

Deputies issued 39 citations during yesterday’s motorcycle safety enforcement operation, with speeding and distracted driving (cell phone use) among the most common violations observed.

Speeding citations were issued on major roadways throughout the City, as well as near school zones.
