🕌 Masjid Ummah is steadily taking shape in Somalia

Alhamdulillah, construction has now reached the roof structure, bringing this house of Allah one step closer to serving the local community.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise."

This celebration in Somalia honored students who have successfully memorized the entire Holy Quran, as well as those who have reached the 10 and 15 Juz milestones in their memorization journey.

Students typically complete the full Quran reading program in approximately 2.5 to 3 years, while the Hifdh (Quran memorization) program generally takes about one year.

Alhamdulillah, this achievement reflects the dedication and perseverance of the students, teachers, and parents. May Allah reward them all abundantly, increase them in beneficial knowledge, and bless them with righteous deeds. Ameen.

President of Ihsan Foundation for West Africa Visits Ummah Welfare Trust Sierra Leone

Dr. Ahmed Bangura, President of Ihsan Foundation for West Africa, visited the headquarters of Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT) Sierra Leone in Freetown to learn more about the organization's operations and humanitarian impact.

During the visit, UWT highlighted its work in relief, education, dawah, healthcare, and community development, including the construction of over 70 mosques, approximately 400 water wells, support for 1,000 Arabic teachers and 60,000 students, hospital and prison outreach, imam training, and Quranic education programs.

Dr. Bangura commended the leadership and staff for their professionalism, commitment to accountability, and dedication to serving communities across Sierra Leone.

🕌 Two New Masjids in Niger

Alhamdulillah, two new masjids have now been completed in Niger through the support of generous donors.

These masjids will serve as places of prayer, Qur’an, learning, and community gathering for years to come insha Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.”

IGH 1 construction work continues moving forward in Mayenkeneh, Calaba Town.

Overhead plastering on the first and second floors of the main building has been completed, with continued work now taking place across both levels.

Partial plumbing work has also been completed on the first and second floors of the main building, while electrical work continues on both sides of the second floor.

External scaffolding work has officially begun at IGH 1.

SAIYA’s impact continues to reach far beyond Rogbap.

Two former orphans from Rogbap who benefited from SAIYA’s healthcare support have now received excellence awards at their prestigious university.

Two of the top three students for the 2024–2025 academic year are SAIYA alumni. Osman A. Kargbo and Osman T. Kargbo were honored by the Vice Chancellor for their outstanding academic achievement.

In addition, Osman A. Kargbo was elected President of the Business Administration Department.

Only Allah knows what the future holds for these promising young men, but their journey is also a reminder of how transformative access to healthcare, education, and community support can be.

Both students attended the modest school in Rogbap built by the marhooma Sister Shabana Patel (Allahu yarhamha).

May Allah accept from all involved, place baraka in the work of Ihsan and SAIYA, and continue to bless all supporters!
