Thank you to everyone who joined us today for Coffee with a Cop at the Eastside Library! We had a great time speaking with our community members and truly appreciate everyone who stopped by to spend the morning with us. We are especially grateful to the Eastside Library for hosting us and helping facilitate this chance to connect with our community.

A special thank you to the organizations and partners who joined us today and shared the many different ways they support mental health throughout Santa Barbara. Your work makes a meaningful impact in our community, and we are grateful for your collaboration and presence 💚

Thank you to Hope 4 Kids Early Learning Center for inviting us to your campus! We enjoyed visiting with students and sharing about the role of police officers in our community. It's always great to connect with young learners and be part of these early educational moments. 🚓

Join us for Tip a Cop at Petrini's Italian Restaurant on Wednesday, May 27 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Come out, enjoy a great meal, and support a meaningful cause!

Tip a Cop is a Special Olympics fundraising event where law enforcement volunteers serve tables and collect tips that are donated directly to Special Olympics programs. Every tip given during the event helps support athletes and their year round training and competitions.

We hope to see you there!

Join us for Coffee With a Cop at the Eastside Library on Thursday, May 28 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Stop by the library to meet the officers who serve your neighborhood. This is a chance to ask questions, share concerns, and get to know our team.

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, our Co Response Team and Support K9 Team will also be present to share information and answer questions about local mental health support and resources.

Enjoy a cup of coffee, take a photo with a patrol vehicle, and stop by to connect with us!

Today, seven members of the Santa Barbara Police Department were recognized with the H. Thomas Guerry Award for Superior Performance.

The award is named in honor of Santa Barbara Police Officer H. Thomas Guerry, who was killed in the line of duty in 1970. Each year, the Santa Barbara Citizen’s Council on Crime recognizes outstanding law enforcement professionals throughout Santa Barbara County in his memory.

This year’s recipients included Officer Diefenthaler, Officer Rohrs, former Officer Rocio Alvarez, Detective Sergeant Cipres, Detective Sergeant Ragsdale, Detective Amezquita, and Officer Ford.

Please join us in congratulating these officers on their dedication, achievements, and for earning this distinguished honor.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Tip-A-Cop with Special Olympics Southern California at California Pizza Kitchen yesterday! 🍕💙

Our officers had a great time serving guests alongside the amazing Special Olympics athletes and volunteers, all while helping raise funds and awareness for an incredible cause.

It was an honor to receive this special proclamation in recognition of National Police Week from Mayor Rowse and our Councilmembers. During the presentation, Mayor Rowse read the names of our SBPD fallen officers, formally honoring their service, sacrifice, and enduring legacy.

National Police Week stands as a time of remembrance for those who have given their lives in the line of duty, and we are grateful for the opportunity to collectively recognize their dedication and sacrifice.
