Mutual Aid Assignment - Sandy Fire, Simi Valley

Montecito Fire Engine 391 is currently assigned to the in Ventura County as part of Santa Barbara County local strike team 1521C with our partners from Lompoc City Fire Department, Santa Maria Fire Department, Santa Barbara City Fire Department and Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District.

Vegetation Fire - May 19, 2026

At 6AM Tuesday, Montecito Fire responded to multiple reports of a fire near Highway 101 southbound, just north of the Summerland exit. Firefighters first in scene found a 50 by 50 foot vegetation fire burning near the train tracks. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire.

Today, we honored three of our personnel for their years of service to the Montecito Fire Department and our community.

Engineer Nick Eubank, Engineer Andy Rupp and Captain Daniel Arnold were recognized for 🔟 years of service.

Fire Chief Brian Fallon presented each with a 10-year pin that attaches to their badge.

During the month of May, the Montecito Fire Department is proud to partner with the local non-profit organization Mothers' Helpers to collect diaper donations for local families in need.

Donate new packages of diapers and wipes at either Montecito Fire Station:

📍 Station 91: 595 San Ysidro Road
📍 Station 92: 2300 Sycamore Canyon Road

Donations will go directly to local families in need through Mothers’ Helpers’ Everyday Essentials Program. Every diaper donated makes a meaningful difference—helping reduce financial stress, improve child health, and allow parents to focus on what matters most: caring for their children.

Thank you for helping us support local families through community partnerships like this!

Mothers' Helpers is also collecting donations at Santa Barbara City Fire Stations and Santa Barbara County Fire Stations.

On April 1, the Montecito Fire Protection District Board of Directors formally appointed Brian Fallon as Fire Chief following Chief David Neels’ retirement on March 31.

Montecito Fire’s Public Information Officer, Christina Atchison, sat down with Chief Fallon to learn more about him and what he hopes to accomplish at the helm of our organization.
