My Chief of Staff, Tara Campbell, and Community Outreach Director, Saga Conroy, joined the RSM Roundtable Luncheon with Mayor Tony Beal, hosted by the RSM Chamber of Commerce at Alza Italian Kitchen.

Tara provided informative updates regarding key policy issues within the Third District, and updated the audience on the the establishment of Orange County Animal Response Team.

A big thanks to Mayor Beal, the RSM Chamber and all those who made this event possible.

Voted “The Best Sushi in OC” by the Orange County Register, this longtime eatery serves up fresh fish brought in from different parts of the world while also offering diners spectacular views of Lake Mission Viejo.

My Community Outreach Director, Saga Conroy, presented a certificate of recognition to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Santa Ana in celebration of Taiwanese American Heritage Week.

We are greatful for our relationship with the Taiwanese community and look forward to many more years of fostering good relations.

My Field Representative, Pat Buttress, presented a certificate of recognition to the Luxe Aesthetic Center for the celebration of its 20th Anniversary. Its programs include body contouring, weight loss, and low-downtime cool peel laser as well as their other many services.

Former Yorba Linda Mayor and founder of Luxe Aesthetic Center, Dr. Beth Haney, joined to celebrate this milestone.

On Memorial Day, I joined the El Toro community in Lake Forest to honor our fallen troops and present a certificate of recognition to local USMC combat veteran and pastor, Greg Munck.

I want to thank the City of Lake Forest - Government, our local nonprofits and and our veteran community for holding this special event for the past 35 years to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our cherished freedoms.

My office joined the 39th Annual Lobsterfest, hosted by Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary.

It was another sold out year for the Rotarians with approximately 1200 residents, community leaders, elected officials and fellow Rotarians from throughout Orange County attending.

Even a bus load of US Marines from Camp Pendleton joined the party, who were applauded and thanked for their service!

From Lexington and Concord to the fields of Gettysburg, from the trenches of World War I to the beaches of Normandy and the island-hopping campaigns of World War II, from the war of attrition on the Korean Peninsula to the jungles of Vietnam and the desert sands of Iraq and Afghanistan, Americans have answered the call to serve across generations.

On this Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
