R.I.P. Kane, thank you for your service.

It is with profound sadness that the Orange County Sheriff’s Department announces the passing of Orange County Sheriff K9 Unit Kane, a loyal partner, dedicated protector, and cherished member of our law enforcement family.

From 2021 to 2026, K9 Kane faithfully served the citizens of Orange County with unwavering courage, professionalism, and heart. Throughout his career, he stood beside his handlers, Deputy Malkov and Reserve Lieutenant Klappenback, forming partnerships built on trust, dedication, and an unbreakable bond.

K9 Kane was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Despite the excellent medical care he received, he did not win the fight.

Please join us in honoring K9 Kane’s extraordinary service and remembering the impact he made on our department and our community.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💙🇺🇸🫡

Big shout out to Anaheim PD K9 who assisted with an investigation which led to 2,200 lbs of m**h being recovered in Anaheim. That's ONE TON of illegal drugs off the streets. GREAT JOB!!👏🤩👍

Great job, GOOD BOY!!

Last night, K-9Officer Irvine and his partner, K-9 Enzo, conducted a traffic enforcement stop for a vehicle code violation.

During the investigation, K-9 Enzo alerted to the vehicle. A subsequent search led to the discovery of approximately 15 kilograms of co***ne.

Thanks to the vigilance and teamwork of Officer Irvine and K-9 Enzo, a significant amount of illegal narcotics were removed from our community and kept off of our streets.

Great work by our K-9 team in helping keep our community safe!

The OCPCA is proud to announce the purchase of 12 bulletproof vests from Project 7 Armor for patrol K9s across Orange County!

Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, we’re able to provide this vital safety equipment to help protect the dogs who protect our communities. Moving forward, every new patrol K9 in our association will receive a vest.
