As the days get hotter, our hygiene products are starting to dwindle, and we have very little supplies to offer our friends who are out in the sun and heat. If you are part of an organization who loves to help, please know this is a critical need.
In addition to the items in post, we are in need of deodorant (men and women), toothpaste (we have plenty of toothbrushes), small or travel size lotion, shampoo, conditioner, disposable razors, and especially feminine hygiene products.

Friday, June 5th, was National Donut Day. Beth Bray, Volunteer Coordinator, and Council member Jinger Gibson surprised local firefighters with donuts for each station and volunteer department in Lee County. We are thankful for their bravery and dedication. Thank you for all you do for our county.

Each year, on the first Friday of June, we celebrate National Donut Day. Enjoy this article about the Donut Lassies, who set up huts and provided provisions and a joyous treat to our soldiers on the front lines during WWII.. Here's a recipe, too, so you can spread joy to your family, friends, or coworkers.
Stay tuned this Friday as we travel around Lee County to deliver donuts to some of our own brave community members.
