Another great annual meeting!

The beautiful, panoramic views from the summit of Mount Agamenticus were a great backdrop for attendees at our recent Annual Meeting.

We celebrated Sally and her contribution to the Prevention field. We were inspired by Delvina's presentation and the Maine Youth Thriving Mattering Cabin.

We recognized our Annual Apple Awards for Community Health Champions:

Christine Goulet,
Marshwood Middle School Principal

Megan Abbott,
Kittery Schools Mental Health and Outreach Services

Bancroft Potter, York High School Leader

⚾️🍓Casey Marcotte, from our HEAL team, had a great time celebrating with the Wells Ogunquit Little League at Closing Ceremonies today, serving up 300+ free fruit smoothies to players, siblings, and families over the course of five busy hours! From 7am-noon the smoothie station was buzzing with excitement.

This was a great opportunity to highlight efforts throughout the baseball season to increase healthy snack options to the ballfield and efforts that help make the healthy choice an easy choice for families.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches, volunteers, and families on a wonderful season filled with teamwork, sportsmanship, and community spirit. Have a wonderful summer ☀️🏖️

🚶 🚲️ What changes would make walking and biking in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport safer?

Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, along with MaineDOT, are studying ways to improve walking, biking, and transportation connections throughout our communities.

Join us on Monday, June 15th at 6:00pm at Kennebunk Town Hall (1 Summer Street, Kennebunk) to share your ideas and concerns. ......................................................
The Towns of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, in partnership with MaineDOT, are developing a joint Active Transportation Plan focused on improving how people walk, bike, and move safely throughout our communities.

The study is examining key transportation corridors and connections between neighborhoods, schools, business districts, recreational areas, and regional destinations.

Residents, business owners, cyclists, pedestrians, and visitors are encouraged to attend an open-house public meeting to share concerns, identify challenges, and suggest improvements.

Whether you walk your dog, ride a bike, push a stroller, use a mobility device, or simply drive our roads every day, your perspective is important.

🌱✨ Community Kudos! ✨🌱

A big shoutout to Sanford Pride Elementary School’s Health Teacher, Noel Leigh for helping students grow more than just plants! Through the creation of a sensory garden, students have explored the five senses, learned where food comes from, and enjoyed hands-on experiences that bring health and wellness to life.

We’re also grateful to the York County Food Council which awarded the Sanford School Department $2,000 to support school gardening initiatives:
🌱 $1,000 for the Pride School greenhouse
🥕 $700 for Bridge Program garden beds
🪴 $300 for Pride Pre-K garden beds.

Thank you, Noel, for inspiring students to dig in, get curious, and grow! 💚👏🏻
