And somehow Civilian Investigator Amanda Draughon still has enough energy leftover to help elderly members of our community every day. Amanda's service for others, animal or human, exemplifies her compassion and we're honored to have her as part of our SCSO team.

Great Collaboration! Monday our Alert Helicopter team assisted Seminole County Fire partners with 15 Bambi Bucket water drops in Geneva. The teamwork helped battle back a fire near a residential area of Freedom Road.

๐Ÿพ Continuing to Learn, Grow, and Serve ๐Ÿพ

School K-9 Comfort Dogs Tucker and Retta, along with their handlers, Deputies Kirkland and Stewart, recently attended the First Responder Therapy Dogs K-9 Conference.

The conference brings together therapy dog teams from across the country to share best practices, strengthen skills, and learn new ways to support the mental health and well-being of those they serve.

Tucker and Retta play an important role in our schools, providing comfort, encouragement, and emotional support to students, staff, and families throughout Seminole County. We are proud of Deputies Kirkland and Stewart for their commitment to continuing education and ensuring our K-9 Comfort Dog Program remains a valuable resource for our community.

Thank you for all you do to make a positive difference, one paw at a time. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿพ

The definition of a hero is someone who runs toward danger to save others, with no regard for their own safety. On June 9, 1975, Deputy Robert Moore did just that when a fire broke out at the old Seminole County jail. That day he laid down his life saving inmates trapped in suffocating smoke. His wife and daughter share remembrances of the type of man he was in this memorial video.
