Mod Baskets is a Sandy-based micro-bakery specializing in homemade baked goods and handmade gift baskets. Everything is always made from scratch using limited, locally sourced ingredients, and nothing is ever frozen. Popular items include pies like Grandma Mary’s Pecan Pie and Red’s Apple Pie, muffins starting at four for $12, and homemade seasoning blends, to name a few. Gift baskets start at $15 and can be customized for any occasion. All baked goods come in to-go containers and travel well, making them perfect for trips, events, or even out-of-town gatherings. Catering and special orders are available upon request.

Mod Baskets operates by pre-order only and can also be found at events and markets around the valley. Orders can be placed by calling or texting Marie, the owner, directly. Sign up for the mailing list on their website and get a free dozen sourdough chocolate chip cookies (contact Marie to claim).

Our third annual Union Square Shop & Stroll is coming up on June 4th from 4:30–7 PM! This event is a great opportunity to discover and support the local businesses that make Union Square such a special part of our community.

Enjoy family-friendly activities, including face painting, balloon twisting, and snow cones while you shop and explore. Guests can also participate in our passport activity by visiting participating businesses to collect stickers for a chance to be entered into a gift card drawing for a Sandy business. With a selection and atmosphere that sets it apart, Bountiful Plant Co. is a plant shop that’s easy to linger in and hard to leave empty-handed. Their plants range from everyday favorites like pothos, ZZ plants, and cacti to rare varieties, carnivorous plants, pre-made terrariums, and terrarium supplies. Fresh cut flowers are available for everything from a single vase to full event arrangements, and their pre-made plant baskets and arrangements make for easy grab-and-go gifts. Pick up a bottle of Liqui-Dirt while you’re there, which is an organic fertilizer concentrate developed by the owner. They also offer hands-on plant-related classes, which can be booked for private events.

Bountiful Plant Co. is open seven days a week, and you can shop their inventory anytime on their website. Sign up for their loyalty program to earn points for in-store credit.
