After countless hours of hard work, Clark County, Nevada officially became the Guinness World Records holder for the Largest Blanket Fort at 14,103 square feet!

This incredible, record-breaking design was created by students of West Career and Technical Academy, whose vision was brought to life at the Desert Breeze Community Center by an incredible team of volunteers, community partners, small business owners, sponsors, and families.

After the build was complete, 150 children from Foster Kinship and Clark County Family Services filled the fort with laughter, games, activities, and an appearance by Stomper from the A's, LVMPD and CCFD helped create unforgettable memories.

Clark County is honored to partner with the Cook Center for Human Connection to bring together incredible voices from across the Las Vegas community to share an important message about mental health awareness, support, and hope.

Mental health affects all of us, which is why open conversations, trusted resources, and supportive communities matter so much. Sometimes, simply knowing you are not alone can make all the difference.

This project united community leaders, organizations, athletes, entertainers, educators, and local voices with one shared goal — to help break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage people to seek support when they need it.

We are proud to support and the incredible work being done to help families across Clark County.

Together, we can continue creating a community where people feel seen, heard, supported, and connected.

WE DID IT! ❤️🏆

Clark County officially broke the Guinness World Record for the Largest Blanket Fort at 14,103 square feet!

But this was about so much more than a world record. This fort was built for foster and kinship children to enjoy an unforgettable day of games, activities, movies, and fun while their caregivers received a few hours of well-deserved respite.

So proud of our community for coming together and turning a dream into something truly special for these families.

Had an absolute blast hitting the newly opened Red Rock Legacy Trail this morning with JC Fernandez and the Good Day Las Vegas team! 🚴‍♂️🏔️

Whether you're a runner or you ride a road bike, this new 1-mile paved path at Charleston and Sky Vista is built for everyone to safely enjoy the beauty of Red Rock Canyon. We also checked out the brand-new trailhead parking lot and the newly relocated “Welcome to Red Rock” sign.

Thank you to 8 News Now for coming out to highlight Phase 1. We have 18 more miles to go to connect Summerlin to Blue Diamond, and I can't wait to see this community vision fully realized!

There is now a new way to experience the beauty of Red Rock Canyon.

One week ago, we officially opened the Desert Breeze Ballfields and unveiled the new Mike Aker Adaptive Field. ⚾️❤️🧢

This project is about creating a space where children and adults of all abilities can play, be included, and enjoy the game together.

The ceremony was held on the adaptive field to kick things off, with the students of Roger Bryan Elementary School singing the National Anthem followed by the first pitches thrown by the Mike Aker family.

The fields came alive with games from Spring Valley Little League, Miracle League of Las Vegas, and the Fire vs. Police game that brought so much energy and excitement to the community.

This incredible project also includes an ADA-accessible playground, making the space even more welcoming and accessible for families throughout Clark County.

A huge thank you to former County Commissioner Larry Brown for helping make this vision a reality and to everyone who played a role in bringing these fields to life.

What an incredible day for our community and for the future of youth sports in Clark County.
