🎉 MORE Great news for Sandy River Plantation!

We’re pleased to announce that tax payments can now be made online for added convenience!

This marks the completion of our 20+ month effort to bring expanded online services to our residents — and we couldn't be happier to finally have this piece in place. 🧩

Whether you're looking to pay an existing tax balance or want the convenience of paying your upcoming tax bill online, you can now take advantage of this new service.

Please note: The 2026-2027 tax bills have not yet been issued. They are expected to be mailed during the first week of November. We'll share another reminder when the bills are available.

We’re excited to announce that boat registration renewals can now be completed online through the Sandy River Plantation website!

No trip to the Town Office necessary — renew your boat registration when it’s convenient for you.

📢 Maine Obsolete Pesticide Collection Program

Do you have old or unwanted pesticides or adjuvants that you need to safely dispose of? The Maine Board of Pesticides Control (BPC) and Maine Department of Environmental Protection are offering a FREE obsolete pesticide collection program for Maine residents, homeowners, and family-owned farms.

📍 Collection events will be held in November at locations in Presque Isle, Bangor, Augusta, and Portland.

♻️ Pesticides and adjuvants are accepted. Please note that this program is only for pesticides — oils, paints, and other hazardous materials will not be accepted.

📝 Registration is required in advance, and registrations must be received by October 5, 2026. Accepted participants will receive specific event details.

Can't participate in November? There are also other Maine facilities that accept certain household hazardous waste, including pesticides. These facilities are separate from the BPC collection program, so be sure to check their websites for accepted materials, collection dates, hours, and any applicable charges.
