Our six-session Homeschool STEAM fall program starts TOMORROW, Thursday, September 16 with THE SPIRAL CODE!
We’ll be investigating spirals: the math within them, the science behind them, and the art inspired by them.
As we learn and use the Fibonacci sequence (and a cool watercolor resist technique) to create our own unique ammonite art, we'll look at other places we see spirals, and advantages they provide in nature—including allowing peregrine falcons to dive toward prey faster than if they travelled in a straight line!
Classes are designed for students in Grades K–6, with activities for younger siblings with parent supervision, and will be held the first and third Thursday of each month, 2:00–3:00. (Community service opportunity for your older student, too!)
Call 315-387-3732 or message the library for more details or to register.
