🚨 EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS MONTH: BE INFORMED 🚨
September is Emergency Preparedness Month. Throughout the month, the Town of Sandwich will be sharing simple emergency preparedness tips and resources to help residents and families prepare for severe weather, emergencies, and other unexpected events.
We’re kicking off the month with an important first step: Be Informed. 📱
One of the simplest things you can do to prepare is to make sure you know how you’ll receive emergency information when you need it most.
📱 Sign up for the Town of Sandwich’s CodeRED emergency notification system to receive important alerts about emergencies, severe weather, road closures, evacuations and other time-sensitive information.
You can sign up:
👉 Online through the Town’s CodeRED registration page: https://accountportal.onsolve.net/sandwichmass
👉 Or by texting SANDWICHMASS to 24639
It’s also a good idea for every household to have multiple ways to receive emergency information, including Wireless Emergency Alerts, the Emergency Alert System, NOAA Weather Radio, local and social media, and trusted news sources.
You can learn how to sign up for these alerts here: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/be-informed-and-receive-emergency-alerts
☎️ Mass 2-1-1 is also available 24/7 for non-emergency assistance and offers translation in more than 150 languages.
