It appears as if my Mayoral opponent and some of his supporters have chosen to start spreading lies and mistruths about me and my prior employment with Waterville Township, all in an effort to sway voters. Those accusations include that I was investigated and forced to resign as the Police Chief for Waterville Township, and that there were numerous complaints filed against me by citizens during my employment. None of this is true.
To make things clear, I was never disciplined for any reason during my employment with Waterville Township. I was also never investigated for any reason by Waterville Township due to citizen complaint or otherwise. To satisfy anyone that wants proof of this, I sent an e-mail to the Waterville Township’s Attorney and current Lucas County Assistant Prosecutor, John Borell., Sr. In this e-mail, I asked for written confirmation regarding these issues so I could prove what I already knew. Mr. Borell responded on November 1, 2023 to my inquiry, verifying that I was never disciplined or investigated during my employment for any reason by Waterville Township. I attach this response from Mr. Borell so my opponent and those of his supporters who have been spreading these false statements for him, can read it themselves.
These people are also fabricating that I was forced to take a buyout for the last year of my contract with Waterville Township. This statement is also incorrect as I asked to be bought out of the last year of my contract due to the extreme hostile work environment that I and the other officers of the department were subjected to by a former Trustee.
I ask that you don’t let these keyboard warriors steal your vote with their lies and innuendo.
