The Virginia Committee of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) congratulates Ukwenga Irechukwu (right) of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) of Quantico, Virginia as a recipient of the ESGR Patriotic Employer Award!
United States Air Force Reserve Master Sergeant (MSgt) Robert Arroyo nominated Mr. Irechukwu (“UK”) for the award, citing in his nomination narrative that UK “has always provided excellent assistance for my military duties and career…UK actively assisted me in balancing my job, particularly when I’m on orders. UK and his Code 11D team displayed remarkable compassion throughout my mother’s death, providing crucial assistance to my family”.
The Patriot Award recognizes supervisors who provide flexibility, time away, and care for service members and their families.
During the presentation, MSgt Arroyo also provided UK the Patriotic Employer lapel pin, and UK signed an ESGR Statement of Support, pledging to continue NCIS’ outstanding support for its Guard and Reserve employees.
The presentation ceremony was conducted as part of the 11D staff meeting, and attended by nearly a dozen NCIS personnel.
Thank you UK, MSgt Arroyo, and NCIS for your service to our country!
The awards presentation was supported by ESGR Virginia Central Committee Volunteer Tony Schlagel.
