RECEPTIONIST-FRONT DESK POSITION
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE WORK POSITION
32 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m. -with occasional Friday as needed
Benefits available after introductory period
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Age: 18
Valid State Drivers’ License required
Starting wage: $20.00-$23.00 per hour- DOE
Experience: Minimum 6 months office experience
Minimum lifting requirement: up to 40 pounds
General Duties:
• Answer phones and assist customers
• Pick up and distribute mail
• Proficient MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Proficiency with 10-key preferred
• Receive payments, make deposits, maintain petty cash
• Prepare correspondence typing as requested
• Maintain 811 Locate files
• Familiar with A/P and A/R
• Maintain various spreadsheets for tracking and verification of payments
• Must be a self-starter and quick learner
• General file maintenance-both paper and electronic
• Assist with Audit preparation
• Office Cleaning
• Other duties as assigned
This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to prioritize work tasks and manage time effectively. It would be helpful to have some basic accounting knowledge. Must be capable of working independently and be flexible in response to changing office needs or requests. Good verbal and written communication skills and excellent math skills are a must. Must demonstrate an ability to tactfully handle difficult situations and have excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. Honesty, integrity, good people skills and the ability to work well in a small office environment are required. Pre-employment drug testing and background check are required.

The District Employment Application must be completed and returned to the District office located at 511 Whiskey Jack Road, Sandpoint, Idaho. After an initial review of the applications and resumes, qualified applicants will be notified to set up interview times. There will be an initial interview with the office manager. A secondary interview will be set up with Board members for final applicants and determination of hiring.
Failure to follow and complete application requirements will remove an applicant from consideration for employment. The District requires pre-employment drug testing and a background check. Kootenai-Ponderay Sewer District has a “zero tolerance” drug policy.
