Calling all adult softball players!

The City is trying to get a league together for the summer but we need you to show up! Without enough players for four teams it won't happen, so tell your friends, spread the word, and join this meeting next Monday at 5:30pm at the JER James E. Russell Sports Center!

New hoops are up at City Beach!

But you'll only have a week to enjoy them before we close the courts again middle of next week for painting. The full court surface will get a coat of new paint with crisp white stripes laid atop the City colors. Don't worry though, they'll reopen pretty quick once the paint dries!

And this is just the beginning of our basketball court refresh. The two courts at Pine Street park will get a fresh asphalt layer, paint, and four new Goalrilla Basketball and Training hoops in the next month or two. Hickory Park will also see a refresh, with fresh paint and new hoops installed in the weeks ahead.

Shout out to the City's Parks and Recreation Commission for prioritizing basketball court rehab for this year's Parks capital improvement project. We are excited to provide these top-notch facilities to local ballers to enjoy!

Our friends at University of Idaho Sandpoint Organic Agriculture Center are offering a free, 3-day summer camp next month right here in Sandpoint that will introduce incoming 6th and 7th graders to drone technology and all its uses in our local and regional economies. Your kids will get to build their own drone to keep at the end of the week! And best of all, the camp is FREE! Can't beat that!
