Mini Food Pantry Reminder: We welcome donations of non-perishable goods! If you have unopened items to spare, please consider dropping them off at Sandoval Public Library. High-demand items are canned proteins (tuna/chicken), hearty soups, boxed meals are always deeply appreciated. Of course anything else you can think of is more than appropriate. Happy Thursday everyone!
When I came up to open the Library today at noon I found a pleasant surprise. There were numerous painted rocks of various sizes and shapes.
I didn't know why they were left. A patron came in and explained to me that these were Kindness Rocks. So I looked it up and found this on Wikipedia.
The Kindness Rocks Project is a viral trend where people, commonly children, paint pebbles or cobbles and leave them for others to find and collect. Photos of the painted rocks and hints of where to find them are commonly shared on Facebook groups. The trend originated in the U.S. and has spread to the other countries, including U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and Haiti. Wikipedia.
So come by and check it out.

We are going to have a part two to the reading contest for kids. It will start 7-14-26 through 7-30-26.
The top ten readers who read the most books will receive a $10 gift card for Sandoval Casey's or Dollar General Store.

Happy Friday everyone!
Bookmarks are for Quitters book club met last night. We had 8 attendees. The book discussed was THE LAST MORNING by Camden Baird. Group rated at a 3 out of 5 .
Next month's selection is MARGO HAS MONEY TROUBLES by Rupi Thorpe.
Next month's meeting will be August 6th at 6:00 at the library.
