Governor Gavin Newsom announced a special free California State Parks Historian Passport in honor of Juneteenth and the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Californians can download the pass for free from June 17 through July 6 and use it for unlimited visits to participating historic state parks from Juneteenth, June 19, through the end of 2026. The pass provides entry for up to four people at more than 30 participating state historic parks and museums.

This is an opportunity for families to explore California’s history, visit meaningful cultural sites, and learn more about the stories that shaped our state.
