Friends of the Wakefield Libraries

Friends of the Wakefield Libraries We're a group of library lovers who do what we can to help The Gafney and Wakefield Libraries.

Friends of the Wakefield Libraries, FOWL, is an organization established in 1987 to encourage understanding, appreciation and support of Wakefield's two libraries. It serves as a medium through which friends of the libraries may become acquainted and share their enthusiasm for books and other media. As a group, we focus on how to better serve the needs of the libraries; where some time is spent ra

ising funds to aid the library when the needs go beyond the library budget. The Friends typically meet at 1:00 on the second Wednesday of every month in the Gafney Library Community Room.
