Congratulations to the 23 Officers that completed the Police Field Training Officer (FTO) Course this past week at the Niagara County Law Enforcement Academy! The agencies in attendance were the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Niagara Falls Police Department, North Tonawanda PD, Lockport PD, Town of Niagara PD, Lewiston PD, Albion PD, Genesee County Sheriff's Office, and SUNY Buffalo State. Interested in the pre-employment academy? The 86th academy will begin on February 9, 2026. The entry level physical agility test is scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 9:00am.

If you are interested in signing up or have any questions, please contact the Co-Directors by email or at (716) 614-6830. You must pick up paperwork at the Niagara County Law Enforcement Academy Building at SUNY Niagara (Lot 4) prior to the PT test.

The agencies in attendance were the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Niagara Falls PD, North Tonawanda PD, Lewiston PD, Town of Niagara PD, NYS Office of the Attorney General, Orleans County Sheriff's Office, Wyoming County Sheriff's Office, and Cheektowaga PD.

The 85th Academy Class had a busy morning with PT at Artpark, then they joined the Special Olympics for the Badges on the Border International Memorial Torch Run in Niagara Falls. Great job class!
