🎒📚 BACK-TO-SCHOOL SAFETY TIPS 📚🎒

School is back in session tomorrow, which means more kids, buses, bikes, and traffic on the roads! Let’s start the school year off safely. 💙

Here are 5 simple safety tips from Sanborn Ambulance:

🚌 1. Slow down around school buses
Stop when the bus has its red lights flashing and watch carefully for children getting on or off.

🚸 2. Watch for pedestrians
Kids may not always be paying attention. Slow down near crosswalks, schools, and residential areas.

🚲 3. Be bike & scooter aware
Give kids plenty of space and remind them to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.

📵 4. Put the phone down
Whether you’re driving, biking, or walking, stay focused on what’s happening around you.

❤️ 5. Know when to call 911
If someone is seriously injured, having trouble breathing, unconscious, or experiencing another life-threatening emergency, call 911 right away.

📚🚑 FIRST DAY OF EMT CLASS! 🚑📚
Cody has officially taken the first step toward becoming an EMT! 📚💪

There will be lots to learn, plenty of hands-on training, and probably a few moments of “Wait…we're supposed to remember ALL of this?!”
But every EMT started somewhere.

Becoming an EMT takes dedication, hard work, and a heart for helping others—and we’re so excited to support Cody every step of the way! 💙
Join us as we follow along on his journey from the classroom to late night studies and skill labs, to testing, and then GRADUATION. We’ll be with him every step of the way!

Cody, we’re cheering you on! You’ve got this! 👏🚑 If you see him around town, be sure to wish him the best of luck as he starts this adventure!

🍔🚑 Join Sanborn Ambulance for a Community Meal! 🚑🌭

Come enjoy a delicious supper and support the volunteers who serve our community! ❤️

📍 Sanborn EMS Station

We’ll be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, and a drink. To-go boxes will also be available!

💙 Free-will donation — all proceeds will help support equipment and training for Sanborn Ambulance. Every donation helps keep our volunteer ambulance service prepared to respond when our neighbors need us most.

Happy Fourth of July from Sanborn Ambulance!

Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the strength of our community, and the neighbors who make Sanborn such a special place to call home.

As you gather with family and friends, we encourage everyone to celebrate safely:
🎆 Leave fireworks to responsible adults and keep a safe distance.
🚗 Never drink and drive—plan for a safe ride home.
💧 Stay hydrated and protect yourself from the summer heat.
❤️ Keep an eye on children and loved ones during celebrations.

Whether you're enjoying a backyard barbecue, watching fireworks, or spending time at festivities around the area, we hope you have a fun, safe, and memorable Independence Day.

Please be weather aware this afternoon as severe storms are likely. Make sure you have a plan in place for shelter, cell phones charged, flashlights with working batteries, medical devices that need battery are fully charged, and any other helpful supplies is ready to go. Stay safe!!
