AB 1383 would lower the retirement age for California firefighters and give locals like ours more room at the bargaining table. Every extra year on the job means more risk to the people doing it. We want the legislators voting on this bill to see exactly who that vote affects.

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the California Fire Foundation will honor the lives and sacrifices of 37 California Firefighters who died in the line of duty.

The names of these fallen firefighters will be added to the Memorial Wall in Sacramento’s Historic Capitol Park to honor the memory of their heroism.

Calling all Marin County high school seniors interested in a career in the fire service!

The Novato Fire Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2026 Steven L. Rucker Memorial Scholarship. One $3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior pursuing higher education in Fire Technology, Fire Science, EMT, Paramedic training, or a related fire service program.

Established in memory of firefighter Steven L. Rucker, this scholarship supports students dedicated to serving their communities through the fire service.

Applications are due by July 15, 2026
