Memorial Day is Monday May 27th – there will be no Parking Enforcement on this date and all parking offices will be closed. We will resume normal operating hours and enforcement on May 28th!

Reminder – there is no on street parking at 50 Canal Street on May 25th from 7am to 2pm! Look for the No Parking Signs posted here. Vehicles parked in the posted area will be ticketed and may be towed! This is to provide space for the large bulky item collection that takes place on the last Saturday of every month.

Recorda: ¡no habrá estacionamiento en la calle en 50 Canal Street el 25 de mayo de 7 am a 2 pm! Busque las señales de prohibido estacionar publicadas aquí. ¡Los vehículos estacionados en el área señalizada recibirán multas y podrán ser remolcados! May Madness is back! Starting with a car cruise on Friday May 10th @ 6 pm and continuing all day Saturday May 11th downtown San Rafael will be the center for fun for the whole family! Please note that on Saturday May 11th from 8 am to 8 pm, Fourth Street from Lincoln Ave to D St will be closed and there will be no parking on any of the red streets below. However, our parking garages at 3rd & A St, as well as 3rd & C St will be open for free parking on the weekend! Come out and check out all the cool cars, vendors, and stores in downtown!

Update: Public Works Department recently advertised our Canal Striping Project on Bid Express, the project objective is to remove conflicting striping and install new striping, including red curb, yellow curb, and parking Ts and Ls on various streets in the Canal neighborhood. This project is still being advertised and construction is expected to begin later this year.
