Yesterday’s diaper drive was a beautiful reminder of what happens when everyone shows up with heart. 💙

SMCHF is proud to partner with to bring our first Diaper Drive together. Through the generosity of our community, families across San Mateo County now have access to essential items to help care for their little ones - bringing comfort, dignity, and a little more ease to their lives.

We are deeply grateful to every volunteer, partner, and supporter who helped make the day so meaningful. This is what impact looks like.

💙 This Giving Tuesday, your generosity can change a life right here in San Mateo County.

Each donation brings comfort, safety, and dignity to a neighbor in need.

💙 For many local seniors, every dollar means independence.

When fixed incomes can’t keep up with rising costs, Caring Hands in Health steps in — helping cover walkers, mobility aids, and fresh food deliveries.

A gift of $75 can provide a senior with the walker they need to move safely, shop for groceries, or visit their doctor again.

Your kindness helps them stay strong — and stay independent.

🥕 Mondays at Food Farmacy mean hundreds of families receiving fresh produce, pantry staples, and dairy — the basics every household deserves. But with food assistance interrupted, our lines grow longer each week.

Your generosity keeps shelves stocked and spirits high. Just $25 fills a food box with essentials that feed a family for days.

💚 Give today so we can keep feeding families who need it most.

🌱 Food Insecurity Is Growing — But So Is Our Community’s Compassion

With food benefits being reduced or delayed, thousands of families in San Mateo County are struggling to afford groceries and essentials. No one should have to choose between paying rent and feeding their children.

💚 Through Caring Hands in Health, the San Mateo County Health Foundation is stepping in to provide:

✅ Fresh groceries and healthy food
✅ Rent support
✅ Clothing, diapers, and baby items
✅ Help with medical bills

A little support can change someone’s entire week — or their future.
✨ Join us in keeping our neighbors healthy, safe, and fed.

As Mental Health Awareness Month wraps up, we’re reminded that support is essential to healing—both physically and emotionally. 💙

Luis lives in his car in San Mateo while supporting his wife and daughter who live hours away. When he needed wound care twice a week, our Caring Hands program helped cover a motel stay and home health visits—so he could heal safely and with dignity.

Because mental health is shaped not just by how we feel but by the support we receive when we need it most.

Sunshine = serotonin ☀️

Did you know spending time outdoors can boost your mood, lower stress, and even improve focus? Research shows that exposure to sunlight helps your body produce serotonin, a chemical linked to feeling calm and happy.

San Mateo is looking sunny this weekend—so take a walk, hit a trail, or just soak up a few rays. Your mind will thank you. 💛
