Today, the City of San Marcos paused to remember.

Every year since 2002, our community has gathered at the time of the 9/11 attacks to honor those who were lost and remember the thousands of lives forever changed that day.

As part of this observance, the San Marcos Fire Department raised the same American flag that flew over San Marcos on September 11, 2001.

Our firefighters have carried this tradition forward, making sure we never forget.
