The purpose of this page is to keep our residents, businesses and visitors updated with the most recent news, events and information related to the City of San Marcos. This site welcomes family-friendly comments and posts. In addition to the Facebook Content Code of Conduct, the City Communic

ations Department reserves the right to enforce the rules contained in this policy. The City of San Marcos is not responsible for the content nor does it endorse any site which has a link from this page. All content, comments and replies posted are subject to the Texas Public Information Act and are considered public information under that State law and may be disclosed in response to a request for information from any member of the public. Content and comments containing any of the following are not allowed for posting on this page and will be removed:
a) Profane language or off topic content;
b) Personal attacks or harassment of individuals or specific groups;
c) Hateful or discriminatory comments regarding race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political beliefs or any other form of discrimination;
d) Political or religious advocacy or commentary;

f) Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;
g) Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems;

Those individuals who fail to follow these guidelines may be banned from the page at any time. The City's Communications Office reserves the right to use its discretion to delete or hide posts that are determined to be in violation of these guidelines.

All of our Zoomagination tickets are dispersed! Thank you to everyone who picked them up early. Today at 1PM is the final Zoomagination performance and tickets are required for entry/participation.

As a reminder for ticketed events:
- Tickets are required for entry to ensure we do not exceed occupancy for the rooms in which programs are hosted.
- Tickets for programs can be picked up the week prior from the Circulation Desk, the STAR Teen Table, and occasionally the Reference Desk in the library.
- Tickets are required for all program attendees (adults and children, excluding infants who will be held) and must be presented at the door to enter.
- Tickets are for specific times and are not transferable to other events or program times.

Join the zoo on the go: Jennie Phillips with Zoomagination is coming to the library.

Swing by on Wednesday, June 10 at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., or 1 p.m. to see your favorite zoo animals up close! All ages are welcome.

Free tickets are required for this event. Tickets will be available and must be obtained in-person prior to the event.

Join us on Tuesday, June 9 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Library and receive free legal advice from a licensed attorney volunteer from Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas.

Some cases may qualify for additional legal services. Please note: Attorney volunteers do not help with criminal or immigration matters.

Spanish language interpreters are available.
