GSMYC is giving back and two teachers will win! ⭐️⭐️
To enter teachers need to:
✏️Teach in Hays County
✏️Comment below with the grade you teach and tell us one thing you love most about being a teacher.
✏️Present your teacher ID at the time of pickup

The giveaway will close on Friday, August 21st at noon. Winners will be announced on Monday, August, 24th.

Shelby recently joined us at her first Back-to-School event at Sienna Pointe Apartments, connecting with youth and families and sharing information about the free resources and support available to our community.

We’re so excited to have Shelby on the team and can’t wait for you all to get to know her! 🙂

We are so grateful to the generous supporters who stopped by our office with back-to-school donations to help make our Back-to-School Fest such a huge success!

Every backpack, school supply, and donation makes a meaningful difference and we couldn’t do this without our incredible community behind us.

As we wrap up our 26th Annual Back-to-School Fest, our hearts are full of gratitude. 💙

Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, and community partner. Because of your generosity and support, Hays County youth and their families were able to receive school supplies, connect with valuable community resources, and head into the new school year feeling prepared and supported.

Together, we made a meaningful impact:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 472 attendees
🎒 243 backpacks distributed
✂️ 41 free haircuts provided
🍕 440 slices of pizza served
🎉 31 prizes given away
🍕 8 whole pizzas raffled

This event is a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with one purpose to invest in the future of our children.

Today, we are excited to spotlight the Hays County Health Department!

They will be offering their mobile vaccine clinic at our Back-to-School Fest, providing free immunizations through the Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) program for children who meet the following criteria:
- Age 18 or younger AND one or more of the following apply:
- Uninsured
- Underinsured
- Enrolled in Medicaid or CHIP
- Identified as American Indian or Alaska Native
