Wounded Warrior Homes Wounded Warrior Homes is a nonprofit organization committed to helping combat wounded service members. Veterans exhibit a higher chance of becoming homeless.

There are over 39,471 homeless veterans in the United States. Nearly 92% are male and half of them are between the ages of 18-50. One third of them were stationed in war and over two thirds of them served for at least 3 years or more. Even though more than 40,000 vets receive benefits; it is not enough to supplement the cost of living in America. Poverty ranks as the leading factor in veteran home

lessness. Civilian jobs tend to be hard to transition into, as many of the skills learned in the service are not applicable to the standard job market. This makes it hard to earn a living wage. The most serious cause for veteran homelessness is
Traumatic Brain Injury and/or Post Traumatic Stress. These conditions can make it even more difficult to return to civilian life, but with the proper support, these heroes can prevail. Wounded Warrior Homes provides transitional housing
and support services to veterans with PTS and TBI. With your contributions we can set our sights on ending the plight of our heroes and enabling them to become self sustaining.
