OVERNIGHT PRADO ROAD RAMP CLOSURE IN SAN LUIS OBISPO
SET TO BEGIN SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY –A project to construct an interchange at Prado Road in San Luis Obispo will begin early-stage geotechnical work beginning Sunday, September 13.
Travelers will encounter an overnight ramp closure at the US 101 northbound Prado Road on ramp, and shoulder closures along the US 101 southbound lanes from 8 pm to 5 am beginning Sunday, Sept. 13 through Friday, Sept. 25. The work includes geotechnical drilling for the design of the Prado Road Interchange which will eventually connect Prado Road with Madonna Road via an overpass.
Drivers will be detoured to exit at the next off-ramp at Madonna Rd. Travelers can expect minimal delays of up to 5 minutes. Message and directional signs will be in place to alert drivers. Please take caution as crews will be working alongside the roadway.
The Prado Road Interchange Project will construct a new partial interchange at Prado Road, creating a continuous east–west connection across Highway 101 where none currently exists. The new interchange will include northbound on and off ramps. Learn more about the project at the City of San Luis Obispo’s website: Prado Road Interchange Project | City of San Luis Obispo, CA
